Baseball

America's favorite past time...

Growing up in Connecticut, baseball is either the Red Sox or the Yankees. Okay, maybe the Mets, but the greatest rivalry in the MLB was always alive and well in the Nutmeg State. Red Sox or Yankees was the topic of discussion from April to October.

And yes, shocking as it may seem by the artwork on this page, I'm a diehard Red Sox fan and not ashamed to admit it. I realize that in stating this so blatently, that I might risk the engagement of a potential prospect or two who happen to be Yankee fans. But oh well, that's the chance I'll take.

Actually, some of my best friends and neighbors are Yankee fans. I don't hold their lack of good judgement against them. The jousting and ribbing provide some of the most enjoyable banter that friends can have and it's all in good fun. And to take that sentiment one step further, some of my favorite MLB players are Yankees: who wouldn't love to have Jeter or Mariano Rivera on their team? Consumate professionals who get the job done. Game after game; season after season; with gracious professionalism and classic sportsmanship, they're all good.

But enough of that BS. Who am I kidding? At the end of the day, there's only one senitiment that rings true.....

Go Sox.
